Meet our pastors.

Garrett & Sarah Prechtl

Garrett & Sarah Prechtl and family

Pastor Garrett Prechtl and his wife, Sarah grew up in Orange County, California and met at youth group their senior year of High School. They were married in 2004 and together they have three children — Tristan, Kendi, and Uriah.

Garrett loves running, the outdoors, and is an avid hunter who loves sharing every detail of his wild hunts with Sarah — though she much prefers hearing about them than going on them. Sarah loves the outdoors, decorating, and her plants, filling their home with greenery — though Garrett just loves being anywhere Sarah is.

Garrett and Sarah have been serving the local church alongside each other since 1999. They have served as youth pastors, associate pastors, and senior pastors over that time. Garrett and Sarah are passionate about Jesus and the local church. In the spring of 2024, Garrett and Sarah began sensing the Lord calling them to plant a Church. They just didn’t know where or when. During a ministry trip to Raleigh, North Carolina, Garrett’s spirit leapt and a burden began to fall on him. Shortly after this, Garrett and Sarah returned there to seek the Lord together. Over the course of three days, from Raleigh to Winston Salem, they drove more than a 1000 miles, praying in circles. But something kept pulling them back to Alamance County.

In 2025, Garrett and Sarah were commissioned and sent by the leadership team of New Tribe Church to plant Restore Church, in Alamance County, NC. Together they carry a burden to see the Altar of the Lord, our identity in the Lord, the mandate of the Lord, and our relationships – restored, across all of Alamance County. They long to see and be a part of a Jesus loving, multi-generational, multi-cultural church, like in Acts 2. A church where the new follower and the mature follower can grow. A church of prayer and breaking bread. A church of power and great grace. A church who want Jesus. A church who want Jesus for all of Alamance County.
